The Penn State police division is a full-service police agency with sworn police officers who have full law enforcement authority. University Police is one cohesive department serving 22 campuses across 宾西法尼亚, including University Park.
The Penn State Berks Station consists of a lieutenant, sergeant, and seven full-time officers. Departmental staff provide Penn State Berks with police services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

University Police and Public Safety Background
The supervisors and all officers in the University Police and Public Safety Office at Penn state Berks are graduates of a certified police academy approved by the 宾西法尼亚 Municipal Police Officers' Education and Training Commission. All members of the department are commissioned under state law and have the same authority as municipal police officers in the Commonwealth; have complete annual training requirements established by the Commission, which addresses changes and revisions to the 宾西法尼亚 Crimes Code and the 宾西法尼亚 Motor Vehicle Code; and maintain current certification in both first-aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Periodic in-service training is also provided in subjects directed toward the specific needs of the campus.
